El poderoso castillo (siglo XI) en Larochette, sobre una roca saliente, domina el valle de la Ernz Blanche. En Larochette también ocurre algo completamente diferente. Se hace evidente cuando se recorre la acogedora plaza, la Bleiche, o mejor aún, cuando se para allí y se quita el casco. La plaza se ha convertido en un auténtico foro de discusión. Una escena que uno esperaría en un país del sur, ¡pero no aquí! La explicación se encuentra en la población: más de la mitad de los habitantes de Larochette son de origen portugués o caboverdiano.
