Oosterwolde es un pueblo y desde 1886 la localidad principal del municipio de Ooststellingwerf en la provincia de Friesland, Países Bajos. El pueblo se encuentra a cinco kilómetros de Appelscha. El Compagnonsvaart de Opsterland, que forma parte de la Ruta de la Turba, atraviesa el pueblo que se originó a partir de la fusión de un par de brinks. De estos, el Oostenbrink es el mejor conservado. Oosterwolde se ha desarrollado en el siglo XIX principalmente a lo largo del canal donde tuvo lugar la mayor parte de la industria. El pueblo se sitúa en la N381 y la N919 atraviesa la zona industrial.
