La ruta comienza en el antiguo pueblo de la colonia de turba Kiel-Windeweer. Desde 2006, el pueblo tiene el estatus de 'paisaje rural protegido'. Caminarás por caminos para bicicletas, caminos rurales y a través del Bosque Drevenbos, plantado en 1989. Los lugares de interés que encontrarás son Amshoff, ubicado en una iglesia, y el monumento nacional Borg Welgelegen.
