A través del Ommetje alrededor de Dieteren, puedes experimentar la sorprendente naturaleza al norte de Dieteren. Desde la Doort, caminas hacia el sur utilizando el práctico sistema de nudos para caminar. La Doort es quizás la área natural más importante de Echt-Susteren. Ha ganado reconocimiento nacional debido a su gran población de ranas verdes. Este bosque caducifolio con varios estanques grandes se encuentra en un antiguo cauce del Mosa y, por lo tanto, tiene una flora y fauna muy ricas.
