Puerto Rico es una isla que forma parte del archipiélago de las Antillas Mayores, y está formada por la isla principal y otras islas, islotes y cayos, entre los que se encuentran las islas de Mona, Vieques, Culebra, Desecheo y Caja de Muertos.
Localización: Entre el mar Caribe y el océano Atlántico. Al este de la República Dominicana, al oeste de las Islas Vírgenes Británicas y al noroeste de las Islas Vírgenes de los Estados Unidos.
