El río Tisza es un río de Europa central que fluye por Ucrania, Rumania, Hungría, Eslovaquia y Serbia, hasta desembocar en el Danubio, del que es su mayor afluente. Tiene una longitud de 1358 km y drena una cuenca de unos 157 186 km².
El río fue conocido como Tisia en la antigüedad, y sus nombres latinos eran Tissus, Tisia y Pathissus .
