Telfes im Stubai est une commune de 1616 habitants dans le district judiciaire d'Innsbruck et le district d'Innsbruck-Land au Tyrol. Le village de Telfes se situe dans la vallée de Stubai, ensoleillée, à gauche de la Ruetz. La commune est située à une altitude d'environ 1000 m et s'étend sur une superficie de 27,38 kilomètres carrés. Le territoire communal comprend les hameaux de Gerstbichl, Falschmair, Luimes, les maisons dispersées de Telfer Wiesen et les sites isolés de Wiesenhof et Gallhof en aval, ainsi que la Pfarrachalm au Nederjoch, ainsi que la célèbre zone de randonnée et de ski de Schlick sous les Kalkkögel avec les auberges de montagne Schlick et Zirmach dans la vallée, ainsi que Froneben et Sennjoch sur la crête.
