La province de Liège est une province belge située dans l'Est de la Région wallonne ; elle est placée sous la tutelle de cette dernière.L'origine de la Province de Liège remonte à 1795. Lors de la réunion de la principauté de Liège à la France révolutionnaire, le département de l'Ourthe fut principalement fondé sur la réunion de la Principauté de Stavelot-Malmedy et de la partie centrale de la Principauté de Liège.
