La route Gone West Light Front est un sentier de randonnée suivant la ligne de front de la Première Guerre mondiale en octobre 1914. Il va de la frontière Belgique/France à Nieuport. Le 17 octobre 2014, GoneWest a organisé un grand événement participatif sous le nom de Light Front. 8 4000 participants ont été sélectionnés.

L’expression anglaise « to go west » fait référence à la mort, mais à travers la Grande Guerre, l’expression a acquis un sens plus explicite. Les forces alliées, occupant le front occidental, ont littéralement amené leurs morts et leurs blessés à l’ouest. En outre, la guerre s’est également déplacée d’est en ouest dans toute la Belgique à la suite de l’invasion allemande en 1914.
