La vallée de la Matapédia est formée par les monts Chic-Chocs de la chaîne de montagnes des Appalaches dans les monts Notre-Dame dans l'Est du Québec au Canada. Son nom est emprunté à la rivière qui la sillonne et au lac qui est en son centre. Elle est située au Sud-Ouest de la péninsule gaspésienne et s'étire sur une longueur de 375 km.
