Ensdorf est une commune en Sarre.
Elle est connue pour sa mine de charbon , sa centrale à charbon et l'opposition forte à un projet de RWE d'installer une nouvelle centrale à charbon, qui aurait généré beaucoup de pollutions, ce qui inquiétait les médecins.
Ancienne localité des Trois-Évêchés et du bailliage de Sarrelouis en 1789, était chef-lieu de commune dans le canton de Sarrelouis, puis fut réuni à Listroff par décret du 19 avril 1811 et enfin cédé par la France à la Prusse en 1815.
