Contrairement à d'autres communes avoisinantes, Hügelsheim n'est pas divisée en quartiers, l'habitat étant groupé de manière homogène dans le bourg et l'histoire n'ayant pas conduit à la fusion avec d'anciennes communes environnantes.
Il faut toutefois noter, au sud du bourg, une importante zone résidentielle nommée Kleinkanada, vestige des quartiers d'habitation des familles du personnel militaire de l'ancienne base aérienne militaire canadienne ayant existé de la Seconde Guerre mondiale jusqu'à 1993. Les pistes de l'ancienne base, quant à elles, étaient situées sur le territoire de Rheinmünster.
