La bataille d'Elchingen se déroule le 14 octobre 1805 à Elchingen, en Bavière, au nord-est d'Ulm . Elle oppose le maréchal Ney et ses 17 000 hommes aux 16 000 soldats autrichiens dirigés par le maréchal de camp Johann von Riesch.
Le maréchal de France triomphe et met en déroute les troupes autrichiennes. Celles-ci doivent se replier dans la ville d'Ulm, tenue par le général Mack. Ce dernier, encerclé par les Français, capitulera le 20 octobre 1805, livrant à la Grande Armée 27 000 prisonniers.
