Le champ funéraire germanique de Haßleben a été découvert environ 15 kilomètres au nord d'Erfurt, à Haßleben. Il est considéré comme le plus important champ funéraire de la période romaine tardive en Thuringe. Des fouilles ont été menées entre 1911 et 1913 puis à nouveau dans les années 1930.
Armin Möller, conservateur au Musée municipal de Weimar, a examiné entre 1911 et 1913 quelques tombes à inhumation élbgermanique dans la carrière de gravier à Haßleben, un petit village au nord d'Erfurt.
