L'Ermitage de Maristella était auparavant connu sous le nom d'Ermitage du Carmel. C'est un bâtiment relativement moderne, datant de la fin du XIXe siècle. Plus précisément, le début des travaux remonte à l'année 1890, lorsque la congrégation des frères tertiaires carmélites accepta le don fait par la dame de Son Ferrà, Dª Margalida Rosselló Ferrà. Actuellement, l'ermitage appartient à la Paroisse de Saint-Pierre d'Esporles.
