Le Drac est un affluent de rive gauche de l'Isère, donc un sous-affluent du Rhône, situé dans le Sud-Est de la France, dans les deux régions Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur et Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Il prend sa source dans la vallée du Champsaur dans le département des Hautes-Alpes. Il se jette dans l'Isère en aval de Grenoble dans le département de l'Isère, après une traversée de 130 km au creux des vallées alpines.
