Brighton est une ville britannique du Sussex de l'Est, dans la région d'Angleterre du Sud-Est. Elle dépend depuis 1997 de l’autorité unitaire de Brighton et Hove.
Brighton est établie sur une baie peu profonde de la côte de la Manche, autour d'une rivière saisonnière appelée Wellesbourne ou Whaleshbone. Elle est dominée au nord par les South Downs. Le Brighton moderne forme le centre d’une conurbation importante qui s’étend le long de la côte entre Littlehampton et Seaford, avec une population de 474.485 habitants.
