Le Monastère de Chrisopigi possède l'église la plus importante de l'île appelée "Panagia Chrisopigi" ou "la Vierge Marie de Chrysopigi". L'église a été construite en 1650. Elle a été érigée sur les fondations d'un ancien temple. C'est l'une des 224 églises qui fonctionnent aujourd'hui. Du côté ouest de la crique, vous pouvez voir les vestiges du quai de chargement utilisé pour transporter les métaux extraits par bateau vers Lavrio.
