Pontebba est une commune d'environ 1400 habitants, de la province d'Udine, dans la région autonome du Frioul-Vénétie Julienne en Italie.
Cette place est nommée d'après le pont sur le torrent Pontebbana situé près de l'embouchure dans le Fella, un affluent du Tagliamento. L'endroit forme l'extrémité occidentale de la val Canale qui s'étend jusqu'à la Commune de Tarvisio à l'est. Vers le sud, le Fella passe par le Canal de Ferro séparant les Alpes carniques des Alpes juliennes.
