L'équipe d'Europe, dont le capitaine est l'Espagnol José María Olazábal, est la détentrice du trophée après sa victoire lors de l'édition 2010 sur le score de 14½ à 13½. L'équipe des États-Unis est dirigée par Davis Love III.
