Il Karwendel non apre scorci profondi soltanto ai mountain biker. Con la bici da corsa si collegano attraverso la Baviera le regioni di Seefeld e dell’Achensee.
Già nel 1978 fu organizzata la classica manifestazione di ciclismo su strada intorno al Karwendel. Il classico "Karwendeltour" con la bici da corsa inizia a Innsbruck e porta attraverso la Inntal fino a Telfs. Lì inizia la salita verso la Leutasch che, con circa 600 metri di dislivello, rappresenta uno dei tratti più duri del giro.
