La pianta del tufo (Sempervivum tectorum), conosciuta anche come 'casa-look', si trovava un tempo su tutti i piccoli edifici delle fattorie in questo luogo. Secondo la tradizione popolare, offre protezione contro i fulmini e le foglie sarebbero anche un rimedio contro il mal di gola. In Germania, questa pianta è chiamata in alcuni luoghi Donatuswurz, riferendosi al santo del tuono Donato, la cui venerazione è iniziata nel 1652 in Germania e che a Poesele è celebrato nella chiesa parrocchiale dal 1860.
