La cappella tardo-gotica del XVI secolo domina la vista su Hoegaarden da Hauthem, a 105 metri di altezza.
La cappella è stata restaurata alla fine degli anni sessanta del XX secolo e da allora è stata mantenuta regolarmente. Le sculture più antiche sono state messe in sicurezza nel tesoro della chiesa di San Gorgonio.
Il dipinto (XVII secolo) sull'altare maggiore rappresenta il martirio di San Gorgonio. Gli altari laterali ospitano dipinti con la crocifissione e con il santo Rocco. Una delle statue è di Santa Caterina, venerata qui per le malattie della pelle. Il piccolo dossale sul retro porta l'anno 1755. Il campanile con la campana è stato aggiunto nel XVII secolo.
La cappella è composta da una navata e un coro, con un tetto fortemente inclinato e un campanile appuntito. È costruita in pietra della vicina Gobertange (Geldenaken) con fasce in pietra di Overlaar (Hoegaarden).
