Un pino silvestre (Pinus sylvestris), lungo la Molenweg a Niel-bij-As, ha ricevuto il nome di 'Dikke Den'. Il pino ha una circonferenza del tronco di 317 cm (misurazione effettuata nel 2012) ed è uno dei più alti, spessi e antichi della sua specie in questa regione. Il pino si trova lungo un sentiero pedonale che collega la Oude Molenweg con la Smispoelstraat ed è stato piantato un tempo come albero angolare per segnare i confini catastali. A causa delle sue attuali dimensioni e della bella forma di crescita rappresentativa, è un elemento caratterizzante.
