Nel nord della Botte di Hainaut, proprio al confine con la provincia di Namur, è stato costruito un grande complesso di dighe su, tra l'altro, il piccolo ruscello dell'Eau d'Heure. Così, è nata una serie di bacini, molto irregolari a causa del terreno ondulato del fondo. Questo ha permesso di risolvere un certo numero di problemi di gestione dell'acqua, ma si è anche approfittato di questo luogo per farne un paradiso ricreativo. Per prevenire la formazione di spiagge fangose, sono state costruite tre dighe di pre-riempimento: Falemprise (226 m), Ri Jaune (252 m) e Féronval (142 m).
