Microbirreria De Backer è una microbirreria artigianale di piccole dimensioni dal 2019.
Tutte le birre sono prodotte esclusivamente e imbottigliate a mano all'interno delle mura del vecchio mulino ad acqua - il "Maelbroekmolen".
Si produce solo con malto 100% belga - luppolo 100% belga - lievito 100% belga.
Il Maelbroekmolen risale al 1547 e serviva, tra l'altro, come mulino per cereali.
La ruota idraulica in ferro era all'epoca una delle più grandi delle Fiandre.
Il camino risale al 1894.
Il sito si trova in una posizione molto idilliaca accanto al Molenbeek e lungo il percorso pedonale "Molenbeekpad".
