La Calvaria nel vecchio cimitero di Herselt è stata realizzata nel 1914 dalla ditta Janssens di Westmeerbeek. Questa ditta era specializzata in costruzioni in cemento rustico, in cui imitava formazioni rocciose e monumenti con mattoni e cemento. Era molto conosciuta e realizzava grotte di Lourdes e monumenti religiosi in tutta Belgio e oltre. Attualmente rimane solo la sezione centrale del gruppo calvario di grande dimensioni del 1914, che viene restaurata dalla primavera del 2020 su commissione della fabbrica della chiesa di Sint-Servatius Herselt.
