Olnetop di Nick Ervinck ha qualcosa di mostruoso. Nella forma ibrida puoi riconoscere diversi elementi, ma l'installazione si riferisce soprattutto a onde schiumose. L'artista belga si lascia ispirare dalla dinamica naturale dell'acqua di mare che colpisce costantemente i frangiflutti. Con la sua opera cerca di catturare la sublime violenza che si cela dietro una superficie serena. Basato su un'immagine macrofotografica, Olnetop è un incontro tra natura e tecnologia. Ervinck la definisce una scultura virtuale, progettata interamente in digitale e non scolpita da pietra né tagliata dal legno, ma comunque tangibile grazie all'esecuzione in poliestere.
