Inzell è un comune all'interno del distretto di Traunstein in Alta Baviera ed è dal 2013 la sede del centro di prestazione statale bavarese per il pattinaggio veloce. L'omonimo villaggio parrocchiale è il centro principale del comune e una località termale riconosciuta.
Il comune di Inzell si trova in una vasta valle circondata dalle Alpi Chiemgauer, delimitata dal Rauschberg, dallo Zinnkopf, dal Teisenberg e dal massiccio dello Staufen. Nel territorio comunale di Inzell, all'unione del Großwaldbach e del Falkenseebach, ha inizio la Rote Traun. Inzell è anche conosciuta come la "porta del distretto di Berchtesgadener Land". La ragione di ciò è lo Zwing, una gola tra Inzell e Weißbach che separa il Chiemgau dal distretto di Berchtesgadener Land.
