Le Externsteine sono una marcata formazione rocciosa in arenaria nel Teutoburger Wald e, come tale, una straordinaria attrazione naturale della Germania, che è protetta come monumento naturale e culturale. Le rocce sono circondate dal Wiembecketeich e da un'area simile a un parco. Gli Externsteine si trovano nella zona della città di Horn-Bad Meinberg, nel distretto di Lippe, nel Land tedesco della Renania Settentrionale-Vestfalia.
