L'Elsava è un affluente destro lungo circa 25 km del Meno nei distretti di Aschaffenburg e Miltenberg nel Baviera Spessart.
Il nome originale Elsapha deriva dalla parola alto-tedesca Els per ontano e dalla parola indoeuropea Ap – che significa acqua. Come spiegazione si può dedurre "un corso d'acqua composto da ontani". Il fiume ha dato il nome alla comunità di Elsenfeld. Anche il fiume Aschaff che scorre nelle vicinanze e l'Els che scorre nella Rhön hanno un'origine simile nel nome.
