Niegripp è una frazione rurale della città distrettuale di Burg. Si trova a sette chilometri a ovest del centro città di Burg ed è circondato d'acqua su tutti i lati. Lì scorre l'Elba e il canale Elbe-Havel, e il canale di collegamento di Niegripp a sud e il vecchio canale di Niegripp a nord collegano entrambe le vie d'acqua. La ricchezza d'acqua è completata dal lago di Niegripp, che si estende per 120 ettari ed è situato al margine est del paese; un'ex cava di ghiaia, viene utilizzato come area di svago.
La strada distrettuale 1215 / strada statale 52 attraversa Niegripp, conducendo a nord verso la città distrettuale e a sud verso la frazione limitrofa di Hohenwarthe, con un collegamento all'autostrada A2. Terreni agricoli circondano il paese a sud e a nord. A un chilometro di distanza si estende una zona umida della pianura alluvionale dell'Elba.
