Il museo, inaugurato nel 2006, descrive nella sua esposizione permanente al primo piano sei secoli di vita ebraica a Rotenburg an der Fulda e nei dintorni con testimonianze autentiche. Il rotolo della Torah proveniente dalla sinagoga di Rotenburg profanata e distrutta nel 1938 è uno dei reperti più significativi.
