Il percorso Alte Zechenzeugen e il "Mellenliet" si sviluppa per circa undici chilometri dal cimitero forestale passando per il punto naturale più alto del Dickenberg e lungo la Rudolfhalde, inizialmente attraverso la parte settentrionale piuttosto pianeggiante. Si prosegue attorno al monte Uffelner con le sue cave di pietra e infine attraverso il pittoresco Ossenliet si torna al punto di partenza.
