Thisted è una città nel comune di Thisted nella Regione della Danimarca Settentrionale in Danimarca. Ha una popolazione di 13.461 abitanti ed è situata a Thy, nel nord-ovest della Jutland. Durante la ribellione contadina di Jutland del 1441, Christopher di Baviera, Re di Danimarca, si avvicinò al campo dei ribelli a Husby Hole vicino a St. Jørgen's Hill nel nord della Jutland e fece sapere che chiunque avesse lasciato il campo e fosse tornato a casa, non sarebbe stato punito per ribellione. Gli uomini di Thisted, così come quelli di Mors, partirono e per questo vennero in seguito chiamati codardi e traditori.
