Arriate è un comune spagnolo della provincia di Málaga, in Andalusia, situato a ovest della provincia ed è una delle popolazioni che formano la comarca della Serranía di Ronda. Le sue origini risalgono all'anno 1630 quando la villa di Arriate si sgancia dal comune di Ronda, anche se, cinque anni dopo, nel 1635, torna di nuovo a unirsi a Ronda diventando parte di quel comune. È solo il 14 febbraio 1661 che Arriate riacquista la sua indipendenza e si proclama Villa indipendente, tornando a sganciarsi da Ronda.
