Il castello di Monte Cristo è un piccolo castello che lo scrittore Alexandre Dumas fece costruire nel secondo quarto del XIX secolo a Le Port-Marly. Dopo lunghe restaurazioni negli anni '70 e '90, è aperto ai visitatori dal giugno 1994.
Sin dal 1975, parte del castello era sotto la protezione dei monumenti storici. Il parco del castello è stato inserito nell'elenco dei monumenti il 3 novembre 1987. Il 5 luglio 2016 è stata dichiarata la tutela dell'intera proprietà.
