La battaglia del crinale di Bazentin fu uno scontro della prima guerra mondiale, lanciato dalla 4ª Armata britannica all'alba del 14 luglio 1916, che segnò l'inizio della seconda fase della battaglia della Somme. Bollato a priori da un comandante francese come "un attacco organizzato per dilettanti da dilettanti", risultò un "grande successo" per i britannici, in totale contrasto con il primo giorno della Somme. Tuttavia, proprio come in quell'occasione, i britannici non riuscirono a sfruttare il loro vantaggio sulla scia della vittoria, e quando la resistenza dell'esercito tedesco aumentò, iniziò un periodo di sanguinosa guerra di logoramento.
