Si trova sul fiume Thouet a circa 9 km a nord della città di Thouars. Il ponte sul Thouet fu costruito nel XIII secolo, con un design romanico, ed è stato registrato come monumento storico nel 1943. Taizon fa parte del comune di Loretz-d'Argenton, che si trova nel dipartimento delle Deux-Sèvres. Il villaggio di Argenton-l'Église si trova a 2,5 km a ovest di Taizon.
