Più che semplici vestigia, la storia ha conferito a Rosheim un vero e proprio carattere di tappa dell'itinerario romanico dell'Alsazia. La sua chiesa del XII secolo ne è il più bel esempio! L'arte romanica e le sue influenze stilistiche si esprimono magnificamente, con il suo bestiario scolpito e i suoi elaborati capitelli. Questo monumento è quindi il più completo e il più tipico dell'architettura romanica alsaziana.
