La stazione di Tirano è la stazione capolinea della linea dell'Alta Valtellina, proveniente da Sondrio.
La stazione venne inaugurata nel 29 giugno 1902 insieme alla linea Tirano-Sondrio. Dal 1908 diventa stazione di intercambio della linea per St.Moritz.
