Piazza Villena a Palermo, detta anche I Quattro Canti , presenta quattro facciate (tre palazzi e una chiesa) splendidamente decorate secondo un disegno di Mariano Smiriglio con allegorie divise in tre ordini di ascensione , rappresentate dalle quattro stagioni (forza della natura), quattro principi (potere temporale), quattro santi patroni (potere divino).
Nel secondo ordine, al centro delle nicchie si trovano le statue dei quattro re spagnoli Carlo V, Filippo II, Filippo III e Filippo IV.
Qui sta Filippo IV con l'autunno come stagione.
