Si trova a sud-ovest di Koudum, a est di Warns, a nord-est di Bakhuizen e a ovest di Kolderwolde. Il centro abitato si trova lungo un canale del lago Morra, nel paesaggio collinare di Gaasterland. Nel 2021 il villaggio contava 605 abitanti. Sotto il villaggio rientra anche il quartiere Nijeburen, con cui è diventato un po' integrazione.
