C. Jochems e Jac Martens ebbero l'idea di costruire una cappella nei dintorni, come protezione contro il pericolo di guerra. Fu organizzata una raccolta fondi che portò a diverse centinaia di fiorini. Nel 1942 iniziò la costruzione e il 15 settembre 1942 il parroco Verbunt dedicò la cappella a Nostra Signora delle Sette Dolori.
Questa cappella si trova lungo l'ex linea del tram.
