Una collina in una zona paludosa era, nel medioevo, un luogo sicuro per l'abitazione. Qui si tratta della fondazione di un piccolo monastero attorno all'anno 1000. Quel monastero non è esistito a lungo, ma nei secoli è sempre stato un rifugio per le acque crescenti. Dal 1637, Heiligenberg è una villa che nel tempo ha cambiato proprietario molte volte. Non è rimasto nulla della casa originale del XVII secolo. Fu demolita all'inizio del XIX secolo. La casa così come si presenta oggi risale al 1815. Ora ospita un istituto educativo. La casa e il parco non sono accessibili.
