Il porto di Harlingen è il porto più importante della Frisia. Il porto marittimo si trova sul Mare del Nord.
Il servizio portuale è stato a lungo parte del comune di Harlingen. Dal 2018 il servizio è stato privatizzato. L'azienda Port of Harlingen è da allora responsabile dello sviluppo economico, della gestione, della manutenzione e dell'exploitation dei porti di Harlingen.
