Questa è la quinta fontana della scalinata monumentale dell'Escadório dos Sentidos ( Scaletta dei Sensi), che contiene fontane che simboleggiano i cinque sensi .

La fontana ha un rilievo di una mano con acqua che gocciola dalle dita. Si riferisce alla guarigione e al tocco di Gesù , come nei miracoli, e all'esperienza fisica della fede .
