L'incidente al volo Pacific Southwest Airlines 1771 fu un disastro aereo avvenuto il 7 dicembre 1987 nei pressi di Cayucos, California , allorché un BAe 146 della compagnia PSA in servizio tra Los Angeles e San Francisco venne dirottato da un ex dipendente della US Airways , David Burke, al fine deliberato di farlo schiantare e "vendicare" il suo licenziamento da parte della compagnia aerea. Nello schianto perirono tutte le 43 persone presenti a bordo.
David Burke nacque il 18 maggio 1952 nel Regno Unito da genitori giamaicani; in seguito con la famiglia si trasferì negli Stati Uniti, a Rochester, dove iniziò a lavorare nel trasporto aereo.
