Pensionnaat saint Jean-Baptiste de la Salle werd gebouwd tussen 1896 en 1898. In de beginjaren waren hier enkel Duitse studenten. In 1914 werd het geopend voor Franstaligen. In 1940 werd het bezet door de nazis en werd er een deel van de Hitlerjugend in ondergebracht. Later werd het een opvangcentrum voor kinderen van krijgsgevangenen. Op 8 januari 1945 werd het gebouw geraakt door een fosforbom. Het gebouw is nu privé-eigendom en in 1966 omgebouwd tot appartementen. Het park werd aangekocht door de parochie van Grand-Halleux.
