Wilrijk is een plaats in België en het op twee na grootste district van de stad Antwerpen. Het wordt net als Hoboken het zuiderdistrict genoemd. Een andere bijnaam is het geitendorp. Wilrijk was tot 1 januari 1983 een zelfstandige gemeente.De oudste bewoning van Wilrijk dateert van ca. 650 voor Christus. Vorige eeuw werd in de omgeving van de Bist een Keltisch graf gevonden uit de late Bronstijd. Dit bewijst dat het Wilrijks grondgebied reeds bewoond werd door de Kelten rond het jaar 650 voor Christus.
